How Long Does it Take For an IPA to Skunk?

Two weeks ago Henry and I drank Murphy's Irish Red outside and it was wicked skunky. Some viewers said it was due to the fact we were drinking it in the sun and it had skunked just that quickly. I didn't think a beer could go that bad that fast so I wanted to conduct an experiment of sorts to see just how quickly a beer will a) start to smell skunky b) start to smell really skunky and c) skunk to the point of being undrinkable. Jay came over to help me out with this experiment (thanks Jay!). I purposely used an IPA since beers of the style tend to be more highly hoppy than other beers. I'd like to conduct this experiment again using a few different styles to see how long it would take for something like a pilsner or a stout to skunk.
