Mahar's 20th Anniversary Ale
- Albany, New York, USA - JUL 16, 2011
I am writing this review from my phone. I’m at Mahar’s right now drinking this beer so this is an extremely authentic review.
Appearance: A dark ruby red or black. No head. Some suds coating.
Smell: not much. Apple juice and milk chocolate.
Taste: It’s kind of like an English bitter with dark fruit up front but milk chocolate sweetness in the back end. Tasty but mild.
Mouthfeel: thin and flat. Little to no carbonation.
Drinkability: extremely smooth. Goes down like water. Pleasant sweet aftertaste. Great with a meal.
Overall pretty tasty but noticeably thin and mild. Not bad at all but doesn’t knock my socks off either.
