Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20

poured a 12oz bottle into a tumbler.

Appearance: clear orange/copper color. 1 1/2-finger head dissapates slowly. Tiny amount of lacing.

Smell: Not much. Mild nuttiness and toffee. Nothing foul.

Taste: Pretty typical American Oktoberfest. mildly malty with nuts and toffee and a touch of confectionery sweetness. Slight lollipop aftertaste. Finishes mostly clean.

Mouthfeel: Generic American lager. Medium body. Good carbonation.

Drinkability: Although 5.1% ABV is already low, drinks like something even lower. Very chuggable.

Overall: not bad, but not very impressive. This isn’t surprising considering this brewery. I could session this with some brats and other picnic fare.

Grade: 6/10
