Seth Wright is one half of the popular internet show "Beer Nation" - an informative and entertaining journalistic travel through the world of craft beer. Seth and co-host Mike Winn have traveled across the country to interview brewers, critics, and other professional and amateur enthusiasts of the craft beer revolution. Their video podcast is of the highest quality and readily available around the internet for FREE on YouTube, iTunes, and Blip.tv.
Seth and I have been big fans of each other's work for a long time, so we finally managed to schedule a Skype-based interview to discuss Beer Nation. In part one of this two-part interview, Seth talks about: what the goal of Beer Nation is and how the show works; his personal story of how he came to be a fan of craft beer; the impetus for Beer Nation and how they got the idea off the ground;
In part two of this interview, Seth discusses: how Beer Nation has evolved in its two years and what the future holds for the podcast; how they've used social networking to promote their work; his take on the burgeoning "Beer Blogosphere" of both amateur and professional blogs, vlogs, and podcasts around the internet; and where he sees the craft beer scene going.
