I'd never been to a Dogfish Head beer dinner before, nor have I ever been to The Factory Eatery in Ballston Spa. Well, I got to kill two birds with one stone in this event. You might recognize the host, Jared Kingsley, from the RateBeer 100 beer dinner at McGrivey's a few months ago.
Here's what was on the menu:
Course 1: South Western Egg rolls, Pepper Jack sliders, and honey mustard Chipotle wings.
Paired with 60 minute IPA
Course 2: Potato bacon cheddar ale soup.
Paired with 90 minute IPA
Course 3: Shrimp and Grits with braised pork belly.
Paired with Hellhound on my ale
Course 4: Braised boneless short ribs with barley risotto and butter glazed carrots.
Paired with Theobroma
Course 5: Pretzel bread pudding with salted caramel ice cream and candied bacon.
Paired with Palo Santo Marron
