Wild Game beer dinner at Albany Pump Station (2/26/13 in Albany, NY)


Not even a week since my last beer dinner and it's time for another one already! This was my first beer dinner at the Albany Pump Station (also known as C.H. Evans Ales). They were so happy to have me they sat me at the head table next to the owner and the brewmaster! I have to say this was definitely one of the best, if not THE best beer dinners I've ever been to. Thanks to Ryan and Neil for having me!

Here's what was on the menu:

Welcome Reception:
Vienna Lager
Smoked wild boar baby back ribs
Duck Galantine with pistachios and truffles
Assorted game sausage and pâté

1st Course
Double IPA
Breast of pheasant francaise topped with duck breast prosciutto
Chipotle bison sausage and wild rice
Salad with blackened venison medallions and walnut vinaigrette

2nd Course
Capitol Light
Rabbit cacciatore with roasted mushrooms and fresh tomatoes
Pasta carbonara with pancetta picante,asparagus and roasted red peppers

3rd Course
Cherry Dubbel
Rack of wild boar with sun dried cherry demi glace, tri-colored roasted fingerling potatoes and a warm root vegetable salad

4th Course
Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter
Chocolate dipped goat milk profiterole with ice cream and wild berries
