Orlando Brewing I-4 IPA

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 12/20Chad9976 (1549) - Orlando, Florida, USA - FEB 23, 2016

NOTE: This bottle was 8 months old at the time. I re-reviewed a bottle that was only 3 months old here: http://www.chadzbeerreviews.com/2016/03/orlando-brewing-i-4-ipa-re-review.html

AROMA: Clean floral aroma, some perfume and tea leaves. Sherry-like presence indicative of oxidation. 8/12

APPEARANCE: Dark ugly rusty brown with magenta highlights. Decent head, little lacing. 2/3

FLAVOR: Strong bitterness immediately. Dry at first with floral flavor on finish. Slight fruit or berry flavor in background. Almost English-style in ingredients, but not in yeast quality. Not bad for an old bottle. 13/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; well carbonated but restrained. Smooth. Light aftertaste of starch. No alcohol presence. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Could pass as an English IPA. Rather boring for an American, but drinkable. 6/10
