AROMA: Clean floral aroma, some perfume and tea leaves. Sherry-like presence indicative of oxidation. 8/12
APPEARANCE: Dark ugly rusty brown with magenta highlights. Decent head, little lacing. 2/3
Strong bitterness immediately. Dry at first with floral flavor on
finish. Slight fruit or berry flavor in background. Almost English-style
in ingredients, but not in yeast quality. Not bad for an old bottle.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; well carbonated but restrained. Smooth. Light aftertaste of starch. No alcohol presence. 4/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Could pass as an English IPA. Rather boring for an American, but drinkable. 6/10
TOTAL SCORE: 30/50
