AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20Chad9976 (1563) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 22, 2016
2015 BJCP Category: 19A American Amber Ale
AROMA: Mild amber maltiness; slightly sweet but otherwise unremarkable. 7/12
APPEARANCE: Hazy rusty orange hue. Slow, sporadic carbonation visible. Pours to large, off-white, foamy head. Minor lacing. 2/3
Palette akin to an Oktoberfest. Some caramel flavor, but it’s light.
Some yellow lollipop in the background. More sweet than bitter. Hops may
have faded completely (bottle is 6 months old). Nothing repulsive, but
nothing impressive. 11/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body, average carbonation. Not crisp, but not cloying. Clean finish as marketed. 4/5
IMPRESSION: No glaring flaws other than age. Fresh bottle may be more
complex; this is a bit dull, though still easily drinkable. 5/10
TOTAL SCORE: 29/50
