Boricua Taino Light Beer

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 5/5   OVERALL 16/20Chad9976 (1559) - Orlando, Florida, USA - MAR 15, 2016

2015 BJCP Category: 1A American Light Lager

AROMA: Pale malt with familiar lager profile, but cleaner than most. Slight candy sweetness. 9/12

APPEARANCE: White gold hue; perfect clarity; effervescent. Large white frothy head. Good lacing and retention. 3/3

FLAVOR: Light amber malt with authentic grain taste. Subtle spicy hop sensation in the background with mild bitterness. Quite flavorful and enjoyable for the style. 17/20

MOUTHFEEL: Light and crisp, but not paper thin. Refreshing while in the mouth with no aftertaste. Consistently bubbly. 5/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Probably better considered a specialty lager (i.e. Helles, Munich, Dortmunder, etc.) Very flavorful and satisfying for a "light" lager. This should be in cans, not bottles. 8/10
