APPEARANCE: Deep dark brown to black proper. Large, dark tan, frothy head. Excellent lacing and retention. 3/3
Intense roasted malt up front with resiny/piney hops in the middle.
Finishes with milk chocolate candy sweetness. Very delectable for a
non-imperial stout. 18/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium/full body, though not
viscous or sticky. Well carbonated and smooth throughout. No alcohol
presence. Nice aftertaste of resin and chocolate. 5/5
IMPRESSION: This epitomizes the old "Robust Porter" style which was
discontinued with 2015 regs. Can definitely hang with the big boys when
