   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 8/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
Chad9976 (1613) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - JUN 5, 2016

2015 BJCP Category: 22A Double IPA

AROMA: Dank resiny hops; some tropical fruit and slight garlic. 10/12

APPEARANCE: Flame orange, hazy body. Small, eggshell foam. Mostly dissipates; little lacing. 2/3

FLAVOR: Intensely dank and resiny hops immediately. Followed by grassy/spicy hops on the finish. Some fruity sweetness lingers in the background and even a bit in the aftertaste. Though not malty per se, there’s enough presence to give it a firm backbone. Well-balanced palette. 16/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium+ body; strong and dense but not syrupy. Well carbonated. Alcohol is prominent and burns the sinuses initially. Adds minor warmth but no flavor. Drinkability is good though. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: A very good DIPA. Satisfying and enjoyable, though I feel like I’ve had this beer before. 8/10
