2015 BJCP Category: 10A Weissbier

AROMA: Estery to be sure with light clove, banana and slight lemony character. More on the sweet, rather than spicy side. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Pale golden hue; mostly clear with consistent effervescence visible. Large, white, mousse-like froth. Great lacing. 3/3

FLAVOR: Bready flavor throughout with tingling spice/carbonation friction on the tongue. Not as estery tasting as it smells. Trace banana and bubblegum on the backend. Some clove/pepper sensation in the aftertaste. Palette may be mild due to age of the can, but still decent. 13/20

MOUTHFEEL: Delivers as a hefeweizen should: bubbly medium-light body; refreshing while in the mouth with a dry finish. 5/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: This should be awesome, but it’s only ok probably due to the age of the can. Still, fun and easy to drink. 7/10

TOTAL SCORE: 37/50
