APPEARANCE: Deep blood red to black proper. Large, tan foam with good persistence. 3/3
Dark debittered malt throughout. Some dark fruity flavors linger in the
background. Roasted malt/slightly burnt toast at the apex. Espresso and
dark chocolate emerge on the finish with moderate bitterness. Slight
MOUTHFEEL: Medium/full bodied; soft and smooth.
Little alcohol warmth or flavor. Coffee taste lingers. Slightly watery
OVERALL IMPRESSION: An interesting take on Baltic Porter, but probably would’ve worked better as a traditional stout. 7/10
