Brew Bus Last Stop IPA

2015 BJCP Category: 21A American IPA

AROMA: Strong tropical fruit and citrus aroma; some grass. Lightly sweet grainy malt background scent. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Hazy shade of pale orange. Sediment floating in suspension. Average white foam. Decent lacing. 2/3

FLAVOR: Hop-forward with prominent tropical/citrus flavor throughout first half. Moderate spicy/grassy sensation on second half with slight spice rack aftertaste. Bitterness is medium high. Malt provides for light sweetness and balance. 16/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium body and carbonation. Not crisp, but far from syrupy or flat. Alcohol is subtle, but tolerable. Aftertaste is slightly starchy and drying. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Definitely a solid, to-spec West Coast-style IPA any hophead can and will enjoy. 8/10
