   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20ChadPolenz (1661) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - AUG 6, 2016

2015 BJCP Category: 28B Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer (base style: 24A Witbier)

AROMA: Coriander, lemonade-like aroma and tartness. A bit mild overall. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Hazy pale banana yellow. Large brilliant white tight foam. Excellent retention and lacing. 3/3

FLAVOR: Classic witbier taste of citrus zest and some coriander spice. But much like the base brew, it is a bit mild. Consistent tartness throughout gives it a slight lemonade flavor. Faint sourness on the finish. Good balance of witbier base and wild yeast (though not super pungent). 14/20

MOUTHFEEL: Light/medium body; CO2 is low for the style. Texture is a bit watery - not crisp and effervescent. Very refreshing with a mostly clean, dry finish (slight tartness, which is pleasant). 3/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Better than the base brew as wild character makes it interesting. A bit too mild for my preference, though. Good for acolytes. 7/10
