AROMA: Moderate German malt presence with bready/crusty character. Low earthy hops. Slight fruity scent (could be acetaldehyde, but this is acceptable). 9/12
APPEARANCE: Beautiful copper/amber hue (9-17 SRM); clear body. Large, beige, froth retains and laces well. 3/3
FLAVOR: Moderate malty flavor throughout, though not as rich and bready as nose suggests. Palette is quite mild overall. Hop flavor and bitterness is virtually non-existent, but beer is not sweet per se. Faint fruity flavor in the background. 12/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; light carbonation. Smooth and refreshing with clean aftertaste. Very sessionable at 5% ABV. 3/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: It's the real thing for sure, but obscured by its age. 6/10
TOTAL SCORE: 33/50
